Meet the Denville Pediatricians |

Dr. Daniel Fermaglich graduated with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from the City College of New York in 1964 and then received his M.D. degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in 1968. He did his first two years of pediatric training at the University of Kentucky Medical Center (internship and first year of residency) and then went on to Mount Sinai Hospital Medical Center, New York to complete his pediatric residency (second year) by 1971. He then went on to serve as Chief Resident in Pediatrics at Mount Sinai Hospital through 1972 before serving in the U.S. Navy for two years from 1972-1974 with the rank of Lieutenant Commander. Upon discharge from the Navy, Dr. Fermaglich took a fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology from 1974-1975 at the Boston Children’s Hospital, and in 1975 joined the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine as an Assistant Professor in Pediatrics. He taught in this position for two years and left in 1977 to establish Denville Pediatrics in April 1977.
At present, Dr. Fermaglich is an attending Staff Pediatrician at both the Goryeb Children’s Hospital, Morristown Memorial Hospital and at St. Clare’s Hospital. He is also an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at UMDNJ. He also serves as the president of the Morris Area Integrated Physicians, IPA as well as the credentialing Committee for CIGNA Health Insurance.

Dr. Lois Fermaglich received a B.A. degree from Hunter College in New York City and an M.D. degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. She did her pediatric internship at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York City and her residency at Mt. Sinai and the University of Kentucky. She is Board certified in Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She and her husband Daniel started Denville Pediatrics in 1977. They have 2 children and 2 grandchildren.

Dr. Nora Mann received her B.A. in biology from Cedar Crest College in Allentown, PA. She then worked for several years in the microbiology field teaching medical and dental students and pursuing graduate studies before returning to medical school. She received her M.D. from University of Medicine & Dentistry – New Jersey Medical School, and did her pediatric residency at the UMDNJ Children’s Hospital of NJ Program in Newark. Dr. Mann is Board Certified in Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
She is an attending physician at Goryeb Children’s Hospital, Morristown Memorial Hospital where she serves on the Pediatric Advisory Committee. She is also an attending physician at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville where she is Vice Chairman of the Pediatrics Department and Chairman of the Pediatric Quality Improvement Committee. She has been in practice since 1990 and lives in Denville.

Dr. Scott Vergano has lived in Morris County most of his life. After attending Randolph public schools for ten years and graduating from Newark Academy, he received his B.A. in chemistry from Princeton University and his M.D. from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He completed his residency training at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia and joined Denville Pediatrics in August 1996. He is Board Certified in General Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Vergano enjoys teaching residents and medical students at Morristown Memorial Hospital and has been voted “Best Teacher” numerous times from both Atlantic Health System and UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School. NJ SEEDS Hospital Day, a program he created and coordinates, brings gifted eight-grade students from disadvantaged backgrounds to Goryeb Children’s Hospital, Morristown Memorial Hospital to introduce them to careers in medicine. Dr. Vergano also served on the Advisory Board in Medicine.
Dr. Vergano also served on the Advisory Board for Adolescent Health Update, a national publication of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and edited two chapters of the recently published textbook “Fast Facts in Pediatrics.” He is an attending physician at the Goryeb Children’s Hospital at Morristown Memorial Hospital and at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville and Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School. Dr. Vergano is married to pediatrician Dr. Samantha Schrier.

Dr. Krekamey Craig received her B.A. from Brown University and her M.D. from Case Western Reserve University. She went on to do her residency training at NYU Medical Center. She is Board Certified in General Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Craig joined Denville Pediatrics in June 2003. She also has a part-time appointment at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in their child abuse and maltreatment center. She is an attending physician at the Goryeb Children’s Hospital, Morristown Memorial Hospital and at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville.
Dr. Craig lives in Montclair, New Jersey with her husband and two children.
